Grassroots Organizing
Degrowth California is leading the charge in grassroots degrowth organizing in California and the United States. With 2 active hubs in San Francisco and San Diego, and 2 more in development, DGCA initiates and supports important local efforts that concretely contribute to economic shifts and advance dialogue.
Advancing Degrowth Dialogue
DGCA is often asked to present at universities, in collaboration with non-profits, and degrowth conferences. Since 2022, we have been at the forefront of introducing and advancing degrowth ideas and themes. Our members have given TEDx talks, guest lectures at universities, and worked with non-profits in California, the US, and abroad.
Organize a Degrowth Coordination Team
Degrowth California is a growing community of activists and we want to support their work and initiatives across CA and the US. To best do this, we are pursuing opportunities to bring individuals onboard full-time to support work in the following areas: education, outreach, and policy research.
